Data Protection Policy

The new EU legislation called GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) comes into effect the 25th May 2018.
This affects all businesses and, as a consumer, you have rights to your data and to know and control how it is used.

Gold Orchid Publishing takes your privacy seriously and we will only use the information you supply to provide you with our services.
Due to the nature of our company, this is especially applicable to our authors and artists as our sales are not done directly through our site and personal and payment details of our readers as a result are never in our hands.

All personal data of our readers acquired through our social media or otherwise will be treated in line with the data protection guidelines. In the same way, all personal and financial data from our authors, artists or any other party contacting us through our website will be treated in line with those same guidelines.

By sending us an email or contacting us in any way, you are agreeing to our storing of your data unless you explicitly ask us not to. However, you must be aware that we cannot provide our services without a certain amount of personal data.

Gold Orchid Publishing will not share your data with a third party unless it is directly necessary for providing our services or required by law.

If you wish to know what data we do have on you, please feel free to contact us.
In the same way, if you wish us to remove your data, please do contact us; however, in the context of maintaining our blacklist of authors (which exists solely to keep track of authors who have contacted us with inappropriate works), we reserve the right to maintain a record, which will not be shared to anyone under any circumstance other than if required by law.

We reserve the right to update this policy at any time and without warning. It is your responsibility to verify the policy and to act within it.
